The Ideal Comfort System

Specially Designed by Trane for central Pennsylvania

Finally a home comfort system designed for those of us who live in the Allegheny mountain region. Whether you live in Pittsburgh, State College, Wheeling, Mercer or somewhere in between, this system provides the highest levels of comfort and dependability that you have come to enjoy and expect from Trane.

The Allegheny Mountain System© was designed to provide the Ideal Home Environment under the unique climatic conditions of the area in which you live. Long cold winters, mild spring and fall seasons, and never knowing what to expect in the summer. Winters in the Allegheny region are cold and dry, while summers are hot and humid.

Average monthly heating temperatures range from as low as 20° F in January to 62°F in July. Mild days when low stage heat works best occur with temperatures between mid-thirties to mid-sixties. These mild days primarily occur between the months of March through December. Clearly, 80% or more of the time when our system is heating, it is doing it in the low stage.

Control moisture (and even dust mites) with Trane Comfort-RT The Allegheny Mountain System© matches a high efficiency heat pump with a variable-speed indoor unit, featuring Trane's patented technology, to remove humidity from your home during those hot humid summer days. Lower humidity can also lead to savings since, without moisture in the air, you can keep your comfort control at a higher setting and still feel comfortable.
